About the Event

Starting April 7 Paul DuSold will copy paintings by John Singer Sargent, Cecilia Beaux, Robert Henri and George Bellows. They were all painters with Philadelphia connections who painted during the late 19th and early 20th century. Beaux and Sargent represented the greatest of Society portrait painting. Henri and Bellows were members of the so-called Ashcan school and painted portraits of the tenement dwellers of New York city.
