Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina
The Blue Ridge Mountains are one of the most beautiful landscape settings in the country and a wonderful
place
to paint. We will be staying at a lodge and cabins just off of the Blue Ridge Parkway
in Glendale Springs, N.C. For this workshop we will have our own personal
chef preparing breakfast, lunches and dinner. This is a unique opportunity to combine
painting and fine dining. The lodge has a large kitchen and
dining room where we will gather for all our meals prepared just for the group.
Spending time together around meals in a private setting creates a
wonderful added enjoyment to the experience of painting together.
There are several double occupancy rooms in the lodge with private baths as well as
individual cabins with baths and kitchenette. Golfing, canoeing and hiking
are available for spouses. Pictures of the area can be seen by web searching “blue ridge parkway”.

Castine, Deer Isle and Stonington Maine
We will be returning to Maine again this year in August. This year we will be venturing out from Castine to paint in
Stonington and Deere Isle. Maine has been inspiring American painters as a Summer retreat for decades.
Artists from Winslow Homer to Edwin Hopper and Andrew Wyeth have produced important paintings of the Maine coast.
We will be staying at the historic Manor Inn in Castine and making day trips to our painting sites.
Dates: July 28 thru Aug 4. Sunday to Sunday.
